To obtain a Voter ID in India, you need to follow these steps:
- Visit the National Voters' Service Portal (NVSP) website at https://www.nvsp.in/.
- Click on "Apply online for registration of new voter/due to shifting from AC".
- Fill in the required details, such as name, date of birth, gender, and address.
- Upload the necessary documents, such as a passport-sized photograph and proof of address.
- Submit the application form.
- After submitting the form, you will receive an application reference number, which you can use to track the status of your application.
- The Booth Level Officer (BLO) will then visit your home to verify your details and documents.
- Once the verification is complete, you will receive your Voter ID card by post.
