To know the status of a Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) assessee, follow the below steps:
1. Visit the CBIC's e-Services portal (https://www.cbic.gov.in/htdocs-cbec/eservices/index).
2. Click on the "Know Your Jurisdictional GST Taxpayer" link under the "GST" tab.
3. Enter the GSTIN or the Legal Name of the assessee.
4. Enter the captcha code and click on "Search".
5. The status of the assessee will be displayed.
Note: In case you do not have the GSTIN, you can use the "Search by State and PAN/TAN" option to search for the assessee's status.
